ПРЕОБРАЖЕНСКАЯ ЦЕРКОВЬ СТАНИЦЫ СТАРОЧЕРКАССКОЙ - ХРАМ-ПАМЯТНИК ВОИНСКОЙ СЛАВЫ ДОНСКОГО КАЗАЧЕСТВА
Abstract
Cherkassk city was the center of spiritual culture of the Don. There are still preserved several monuments of church architecture. The history of construction of objects of cultural heritage unique and deserves special attention. The article deals the history of the construction and architecture of the Preobrazhenskaya (Ratnaya) Church - the second oldest of the now-preserved temples Cherkassk. Where it stands, was the tract where the Cossacks were going, going on hikes. This church served prayers before heading to fighting campaign. The Ratnaya church, unlike other stone monuments of Cherkassk, had very sacred significance for Cossacks.
