Policies and Publication Ethics

World Science upholds the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in scientific publishing. As a peer-reviewed international journal, we are committed to ensuring that all submitted and published research complies with globally recognized principles of ethical research and publication practice.

Our editorial policies are guided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and we expect all authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere to these principles throughout the submission, review, and publication process.

1. Authorship and Contribution

  • Only individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of the study should be listed as authors.
  • All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript prior to submission and agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work.
  • Any changes in authorship (addition, removal, or rearrangement) after submission require written consent from all authors and must be approved by the editorial office.

2. Originality and Plagiarism

  • Submissions must be original and not under consideration by any other journal or publication.
  • All manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening using industry-standard tools.
  • Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism or duplicate publication, is strictly prohibited and may result in rejection or retraction.

3. Data Integrity and Research Ethics

  • Authors must present accurate data and ensure the reproducibility of their research. Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data constitutes misconduct.
  • Studies involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must comply with institutional, national, and international ethical guidelines.
  • For human subjects, ethical approval from a recognized ethics committee and informed consent from participants are required and must be stated in the manuscript.

4. Peer Review Process

  • World Science operates a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartiality and academic rigor.
  • Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise and are required to maintain confidentiality and disclose any conflicts of interest.
  • Authors may suggest reviewers, but the editorial board reserves the right to select reviewers independently.

5. Conflicts of Interest

  • Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, financial or non-financial, that could influence the research or its interpretation.
  • Transparency regarding funding sources and institutional affiliations must be provided within the manuscript.

6. Corrections, Retractions, and Complaints

  • The journal will publish corrections for minor errors that do not affect the results or conclusions of the work.
  • In cases of significant errors, ethical breaches, or scientific misconduct, articles may be retracted following COPE guidelines.
  • Authors and readers may submit concerns or complaints to the editorial office, which will be addressed promptly and transparently.

7. Open Access and Licensing

  • All articles in World Science are published under an Open Access model, ensuring free and immediate access to research.
  • Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction, provided proper attribution is given.

8. Archiving and Digital Preservation

  • The journal ensures the permanent availability and preservation of published content through digital archiving in recognized repositories and platforms.
  • DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) are assigned to all articles for persistent identification and reliable citation.
