Article Processing Charge

World Science is an Open Access journal, and all articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide immediately upon publication. To support the cost of editorial processes, peer review management, typesetting, online hosting, and long-term digital archiving, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied upon acceptance of a manuscript.

APC Amount

The APC for publication in World Science is:
120 USD (One Hundred Twenty U.S. Dollars) per accepted article.

What the APC Covers

The APC covers the full cost of:

  • Editorial assessment and double-blind peer review management.
  • Plagiarism screening using professional software tools.
  • Copyediting, typesetting, and formatting of the accepted article.
  • Assignment of a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) and permanent online hosting.
  • Inclusion in indexing databases and digital preservation systems.
  • Free and unlimited access to the article on the journal’s website.

When to Pay

  • APC is payable only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication following peer review.
  • Instructions for payment will be provided with the acceptance notification.
  • Payment is required before the article proceeds to final production and publication.

Waiver Policy

World Science is committed to supporting researchers globally and may offer APC waivers or discounts to authors from low-income countries or under special circumstances.
Requests for waivers must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Refund Policy

  • APCs are non-refundable once the article has been published.
  • If a manuscript is withdrawn by the author prior to peer review or rejected after peer review, no APC is charged.
