Abstract

Conditions and educational technology of training engineers-metallurgists are characterized in the aspect of the formation of managerial competence. Standards of training programs and plans analyzes for content and workload of disciplines relevant to the formation of competencies identified. It is concluded failure of such disciplines in socio-humanitarian cycle both in content and amount. This leads to the impossibility of forming social and psychological components of managerial competence of the future engineers-metallurgists. Proposals to overcome this problem through the modernization of using educational technology are formulated. In view of the introduction of credit-modular system of training, the basis of modernization and correlation with the actual requirements of the environment and the time it should be modular pedagogical technology.
