Editorial Process

The International Journal of Innovative Technologies in Economy (IJITE) follows a structured editorial process designed to ensure the quality, rigor, and integrity of the research published. This process involves multiple stages from manuscript submission to final publication, with a strong emphasis on transparency and adherence to ethical guidelines.

1. Manuscript Submission

  • Authors submit their manuscripts through the online submission system, ensuring they follow the journal's guidelines for formatting, structure, and content.
  • Upon submission, authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and ensure compliance with the journal's ethical policies.

2. Initial Editorial Assessment

  • The editorial team conducts an initial review to ensure that the manuscript aligns with IJITE’s aims and scope.
  • Manuscripts are checked for adherence to submission guidelines, originality, and relevance. Submissions that do not meet these criteria may be returned to authors for revisions or declined.

3. Plagiarism and Ethical Compliance Check

  • Manuscripts undergo a plagiarism screening using plagiarism detection software to verify originality.
  • The editorial team also ensures compliance with ethical standards, including appropriate ethical approvals for studies involving human or animal subjects.

4. Assignment to an Editor

  • An editor with relevant expertise is assigned to manage the manuscript and oversee the peer review process.
  • The assigned editor assesses the manuscript's quality and scientific contribution to decide if it should proceed to peer review.

5. Peer Review Process

  • IJITE follows a double-blind peer review process to maintain objectivity and impartiality. Two or more independent reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the manuscript's subject area.
  • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript on criteria such as originality, methodology, significance, and adherence to ethical standards. They provide constructive feedback to help authors improve their work.

6. Reviewer Recommendations and Editor Decision

  • Reviewers submit their recommendations, which can include: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject.
  • Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editor makes a decision on the manuscript:
    • Accept: The manuscript is suitable for publication with no or minimal revisions.
    • Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires minor changes before acceptance.
    • Major Revisions: Significant revisions are necessary, and the revised manuscript may undergo further review.
    • Reject: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards for quality or relevance.

7. Author Revisions

  • Authors are notified of the editor’s decision and provided with detailed reviewer comments to guide their revisions.
  • Authors are required to address all feedback and resubmit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe. A response document explaining the changes made in response to reviewer comments may be requested.

8. Final Evaluation

  • The revised manuscript is reviewed by the editor to ensure that all comments and revisions have been addressed satisfactorily.
  • If necessary, the manuscript may be sent back to the reviewers for further assessment.

9. Acceptance and Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • Once the manuscript meets the required standards, it is formally accepted for publication.
  • Authors receive an invoice for the Article Processing Charge (APC) of 120 USD to support the open-access publication. Payment options include credit card, PayPal, or bank transfer.

10. Production and Typesetting

  • After APC payment, the manuscript enters the production phase, where it is formatted and typeset according to the journal’s standards.
  • Copyediting and proofreading ensure that the manuscript is clear, error-free, and ready for publication.

11. Proof Review by Authors

  • A formatted proof of the article is sent to the corresponding author for review and approval. Authors are given the opportunity to correct any minor errors or formatting issues before final publication.

12. Final Publication

  • Upon author approval of the final proof, the article is published online as part of the upcoming issue. Articles are assigned a DOI for permanent identification and are immediately accessible as open access.

13. Post-Publication and Archiving

  • Published articles are indexed in relevant databases and archives to ensure long-term accessibility.
  • Authors are encouraged to share and promote their research to increase visibility and impact.

14. Appeals Process

  • Authors who wish to appeal editorial decisions may contact the editorial office with a detailed rationale. Appeals are reviewed fairly and objectively, involving additional editorial members if necessary.

Commitment to Ethical Standards

The editorial process at IJITE adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines to ensure ethical and transparent practices at every stage. The journal is dedicated to maintaining academic rigor and quality while providing authors, reviewers, and editors with a fair and respectful publishing experience.

This Editorial Process ensures that each manuscript receives thorough and objective evaluation, supporting IJITE’s mission to publish impactful and innovative research in the fields of technology and economy.
